Chinese Seal by Zhu Qishi


Zhu Qishi: Vintage Seal, White stone, carved in 1924. 

As seal engraved are 6 characters: yi jiang feng yu chao sheng  一江风雨潮生. (The elements stir up the river). 

29 x 5 x 52 mm. Very well carved. Good condition. 

Side inscriptions with details. 

Zhu Qishi is most of all famous for his paintings.

Chiparus Bronze Innocence


"Innocence". Demetre Haralamb Chiparus Bronze, depicting a young girl in a short dress and crossed fingers, standing on a socket of black stone.

Earlier object – no new copy. Between the feet of the girl is a square badge: "L Art Bronze Qualite France".

It stands 13.5 inches high ( 35 cm), 1,96 kg. Minor knocks at the socket. Artist signed at the upper side of the bronze socket: D. H. Chiparus.

Decorative Art Nouveau bronze placque “Josef Kainz”. Kainz-bust at front side, kneeling man at reverse. Artist signed: O. Hofner Otto Hofner (1879 - 1946) was an important sculptor and medalist.

Diameter: 60 mm, warm patina, good condition.

Josef Gottfried Ignaz Kainz (2 January 1858 - 20 September 1910) was an Austrian actor of Hungarian birth. He was highly active in theatres in Austria and Germany from 1873–1910. Revered as one of the greatest actors of the German-speaking theatre, the city of Vienna annually bestowed a theatre award for outstanding acting performance named after him, the Kainz Medal, from 1958 to 1999 (replaced by the Nestroy Award in 2000).
