Cute Postcard of a little Girl under a Waterfall. 1927

Lovely old postcard, depicting a sweet little girl, taking a shower under a waterfall, obviously freezing. The artist was Ball-Demont.



Used 1917 as postcard in Austria, sent in an envelope, so there is no stamp on it. Fine condition.

Rory Gallagher was an Irish blues/rock guitarist. He is best known for his solo albums throughout the 1970's and 1980's, and for his tenure in the band Taste during the late 1960s.

A multi-instrumentalist who gained a reputation as a gifted and charismatic live performer, Rory Gallagher's albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide. He died in London, England on June 14, 1995.

Mimi Coertse (born 12 June 1932), is a South African soprano. She was born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, matriculated at the Helpmekaar Girls High School in Johannesburg.

Coertse made her debut in January 1955 as the First Flower girl in Wagner's Parsifal at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Karl Böhm conducting. She also sang in Basle at the Teatro San Carlo. On 17 March 1956 she made her debut at the Vienna State Opera as the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart and remained with the Vienna State Opera until 1978. Her Covent Garden debut was in 1956, in the same role.

Fellah (Arabic: فِلاح‎) (plural Fellaheen or Fellahin, فِلاحين), also alternatively known as Fallah (Arabic: فَلاح‎) (plural Fallaheen or Fallahin, فَلاحين) is a peasant, farmer or agricultural laborer in the Middle East. The word derives from the Arabic word for ploughman or tiller.

During the time of the spread of Islam, it was used to distinguish between Arab settlers who were usually nomadic (i.e, bedouin), and the indigenous rural population (i.e, fellahin) of the conquered territories, such as the Egyptians and the Syriacs of the Levant.
