Willy Brandt 1913 - 1992, fled from the Nazis form Lübeck to Oslo, devoted his work to fight Nazism.
1937: Went to Spain to work as political observer and representative of humanitarian organizations.
1938: Expatriated by Nazi regime.
Was captured in 1940, but not identified by Hitler's regime and managed to flee to Norway, later Sweden.
1945-1946: Worked as correspondent.
1948: Started his political career, working for the Social Democratic Party.
1964-1987: Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany ( SPD ).
1966-1969: Worked as Foreign Minister and Vice-Chancellor.
1969-1974: Became Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
1971: Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
1976-1992: President of the Socialist International.
1987-1992 Honorary Chairman of the SDP.
