Old, scarce real photo and print with authentic autograph by the controversial actor Lida Baarova.

The photo is from UFA Film with an imprint at the back that it was only to be used in newspapers. Use for movie programs was forbidden. Size: 7 x 9 inches, very fine condition.

The autograph is on a promotion print. ( Image is a half dot print and thus blurred due to scanner. The item is not).

Lida Baarova a Czech film idol lured Hitler's propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels into a disastrous affair was never forgiven by her countrymen. This love affair between Hitler propaganda minister, who promoted those Nazi racial thoughts in love relationship with – after those theories – was an inferior Slav. Goebbels was ordered by Hitler to end this affair – what he eventually did.

In an interview three years before she dies in her Salzburg flat, Baarova said her greatest wish was to return to her home country. But she never went back, and there was no official response after her death in 2000.....
