Today is Oskar Kokoschka's 120th birthday ( died in 1980 ). And today Martha Rossler, the great US artist was awarded the Oskar Kokoschka price, which is the most important Fine Art price in Austria. Congarts to Martha Rossler - she ahs great works and a great mind.

After teaching at the art academy in Dresden (1920–24), Kokoschka traveled extensively in Europe and N Africa before moving to London in 1938. In 1937 his works in German galleries were removed by the Nazi regime. After World War II he lived in Switzerland and established an international summer school in Salzburg „ Schule des Sehens“. Kokoschka was influenced by the elegant work of Klimt, but soon developed his own expressionist style."
