William Clark Gable (February 1, 1901 - November 16, 1960) was an American film actor, and the biggest box-office star of the early sound film era.

In 1924 he went to Hollywood with the financial aid of theater manager Josephine Dillon, who was more than 10 years older than he was and became both his manager and his first wife. In 1930 he finally signed a contract with MGM. In the following years he acted in several pictures which soon made him become a megastar, earning the title of 'King of Hollywood'.

Gable won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his 1934 performance in the film It Happened One Night. He is, however, best-known for his performance as Rhett Butler in the 1939 classic Gone With the Wind, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Gable was one of the few actors to appear in three films that have won an Academy Award for Best Picture.

While married to her first husband, Fritz Mandl , an arms manufacturer, she socialized with Adolf Hitler and Mussolini. She also became educated technically in his trade. Mandl was obsessed with his wife and never let her out of his sight. She hated him and his Nazi friends and finally escaped to London by drugging him.

She met Louis B. Mayer of MGM in London. He hired her and changed her name to Hedy Lamarr, the surname in homage to a famously beautiful film star of the silent era, Barbara LaMarr . She had already appeared in several European films, including Ecstasy, in which she played a love-hungry young wife of an indifferent old husband. Close ups of her face in passion, and long shots of her running naked through the woods, gave the film notoriety. In Hollywood, she appeared in many films, usually cast as glamorous and seductive, including White Cargo and Tortilla Flat (both 1942), based on the novel by John Steinbeck. Her biggest"

Size: 8 x 10 inches.

Small faults at back from gluing in an album

The autograph comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Joe Cocker is one of rock and roll's enduring performers who has survived the sixties, a low period in the seventies, made a comeback in the eighties, and continues to be a solid and consistent performer in the nineties. His gutsy, gravely, vocal style and unique stage presence make him one of the most dynamic singers in the music industry.

His first great hit was his version of the Beatles song With a Little Help From My Friends”. This album featured guest performers Jimmy Page, Steve Winwood and Matthew Fischer. it became a major highlight of the Woodstock Festival in 1969, and surpasses the original recording by the Beatles. After touring the states, he recorded the album, Joe Cocker!, produced by Leon Russell and Denny Cordell.

His Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour produced an album and a movie detailing the zaniness and the circus-like atmosphere of the forty three person entourage. After this endeavor, Cocker was physically exhausted, emotionally drained, and in trouble legally and financially. He went into seclusion, traveling in his van around England, making an attempt to find himself again.
